Stamp campaigners have petition booths at spring festivals in California

Stamp campaigners joined together in a booth at the Cherry Blossom Festival in Los Angeles' Little Tokyo last weekend, on April 5th-6th. Over 800 signatures were gathered, as well as the enthusiastic support and encouragement of festival attendees. Campaign founders Aiko King of Camarillo, CA, and Chiz Ohira of Gardena, CA, led the charge. We wish to thank all of those who participated and helped, including campaigners Jeff Kunisaki (Ventura JACL Chapter President), Joanne Nakano, Byron Shibata, Chuck Kuniyoshi and his daughters. Great job! We also sincerely thank Cherry Blossom Festival President and Co-founder, Wendy Fujihara Anderson, and festival organizers, for donating the booth space to help.

The San Jose Nikkei Matsuri will also host a stamp campaign booth on Sunday, May 4th. The event will be held in San Jose's Japantown near the corner of Fifth and Jackson, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Please let us know if you have other events to support the stamp campaign that you wish to announce.
