The campaign for the stamp is now entering a critical phase leading up to the July meeting of the Citizens' Stamp Advisory Committee (CSAC), when the proposal will again be reviewed. The Committee must be convinced that the proposal is worthy of consideration, and that there is widespread public support. Letters of support can be sent to CSAC Chairperson Jean Picker Firstenberg (address below). Follow-up letters can also be sent if you or your organization have already sent a previous correspondence to the Postal Service asking for issuance of the stamp. A sample letter can be found and downloaded here.
