The state legislature of Washington passed House Joint Memorial 4005 to support the Japanese American WWII veterans stamp on February 18th. State Representative Sharon Tomiko Santos first spearheaded the legislation in the House. State Senator Steve Hobbs is leading efforts in the Senate. The legislation passed through the Senate Government Operations Committe on March 17th, and is now awaiting floor action. To read the March 6th article in the Pacific Citizen newspaper, click here.
