A press conference in support of the stamp campaign and the Nisei WWII veterans story will be held at the Simon Wiesenthal Center's Museum of Tolerance on Thursday, December 20th, at 11 a.m. in Los Angeles, California. The Simon Wiesenthal Center's Associate Dean, Rabbi Abraham Cooper, is organizing this together with the Go For Broke National Education Center and members of the stamp campaign. Rabbi Shmuel Novack of Chabad Southside in Jacksonville, Florida, was the driving force behind this collaboration. Rabbi Novack's grandfather is Lt. David Novack, who was an officer of the 100th Battalion's A Company.
We are inviting interested media, lawmakers, organizations, and campaign supporters to attend. If you are interested in attending, or know of media professionals who would want to attend and report on the event, please contact us at 714-534-5139, or email info@niseistamp.org . Please help us get the word out, because the campaign's success largely depends upon effectively gaining public attention to this cause.
REMEMBER to sign the free, Online Petition to support the campaign.
Important Note: This internet petition is separate from the handwritten petitions, and we encourage you to sign both. The online petition allows you to leave comments. You can check out what other signers have written daily. Many give personal testimony in support of the stamp proposal (click on the "Signers" tab at the top of the petition to see them).
